


The menu in our award-winning restaurant changes every day.
We offer canapés, four courses, petit fours and coffee
for an
all inclusive price of £42.00
Our dishes are prepared using the finest and freshest of local ingredients
wherever possible, including fresh eggs from our own chickens and
ducks, home grown herbs, fruit, vegetables and salad leaves from
the potager, together with berries and mushrooms gathered in season
on
the estate. At dinner all our bread, ice creams and sorbets are home
made, as are the jams and marmalade at breakfast and, whenever possible,
honey from our own bees.
We take pride in providing interesting and
delicious vegetarian options as a matter of course. When we are
advised, in advance, of serious
allergies or intolerances we try our best to take these into account
when planning the menu, which changes daily. We do, however, only
serve adult food and are understandably reluctant to modify our
entire menu to suit those who were startled by a piece of broccoli
as a
child!

Canapés
Smoked Salmon and Prawn Cheesecake
Locally smoked salmon and tiger prawns in a rich mascarpone cream
on an Arran oatcake and coriander base garnished with caviar and dill
and served with a salad of home grown leaves, herbs and flowers together
with a light dill dressing

Pear, Pea and Rocket Soup
A light cream soup made with garden peas, fresh pears and home
grown rocket leaves served with fresh Arran cream and Arran blue cheese
Basil Scented Lemon Sorbet
A sharp refreshing water ice made with the juice of freshly
squeezed lemons infused with fresh basil leaves
Fillet of Lamb with Walnuts, Pomegranates and Ghobeli
Prime fillet of Scottish lamb baked and served on a festive Lebanese
dish of cinnamon-scented basmati rice together with a rich Persian sauce
of walnuts and pomegranates

Baked fillet of fresh halibut served on celery braised in cider
and garnished with apples flambéed in calvados

A Savoury Bread and Butter Pudding
A rich bread and butter pudding made with Gruyère and eggs from our own
hens and spiced with chillies, sun dried tomatoes and black olives and served
with a thick tomato sauce

A light mousse made with home grown blackcurrants laced with
crème de cassis and served with a wee berry cream meringue
and home made liquorice ice cream
